He serves as an Attending Physician and Co-Chair of Mt. Sinai South Nassau’s Pulmonary Disease Management Committee and Co-Chair of the Mount Sinai South Nassau Ethics Committee. Dr. Altus previously served as Director of the facility’s Respiratory Care Unit and Co-Chief of the Critical Care Division of Internal Medicine.

Dr. Altus brings a wealth of experience, having trained at some of the most prestigious institutions:

Dr. Altus is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and serves on the Core Faculty of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Mount Sinai South Nassau. His dedication to education helps shape the next generation of physicians.
